Flat Stanley

BLVD LOVES… Flat Stanley! Because seeing the look on the face of that 5th grader after you bring back photos of all the places his Flat Stanley friend has been is priceless. Plus, foreigners are intrigued as to why Americans hold up laminated paper figures up to their lenses. Instant tourist street-cred. Kinda. Continue Reading

Old Engagement Photos

BLVD LOVES… old engagement photos!

Macaroons

BLVD LOVES… Macaroons! This lovely and delicious looking plate of mini-macaroons comes from “Les Deux Moulins” — which francophiles will remember is where Amelie Poulain (from “Le Destin d’Amelie Poulain) worked at as a waitress. Yum yum! They come in so many different flavors (lemon, strawberry, almond, coffee, and our favorite — pistachio) and are delightfully sweet. Plus, they always come in beautiful boxes that make eating them even more fun! Check it out!

Musically-inclined Friends

BLVD LOVES… Musically-inclined Friends! Because it’s always more fun to hear it from someone you love and from someone who plays it for FREE and when you don’t have to go to a completely packed venue… Mandolins on the porch, guitars on my couch, even a tambourine here and there — and wooden spoons can make some pretty good drums.
