Sarah Burton, creative director of the Alexander McQueen fashion house, tried Monday to create an enchanted forest in the center of London for the debut offering of the McQ line, aimed at younger, less affluent buyers.

Vivienne Tam took a distinct cue from menswear for her fall collection at New YorkFashion Week.

Whitney Port’s glamour girl image came through as the starlet debuted her Whitney Eve fall collection Wednesday at New YorkFashion Week.
Port, known for appearances on MTV’s “The Hills” and “The City,” showed a line of flirty dresses and sleek separates. The inspiration came from an antique kaleidoscope she found in her grandmother’s house. Port launched the collection in 2008. Her hair was a tad windswept and her clothes ever slightly askew, but it was a real lady wearing Rodarte on the catwalk Tuesday at New York Fashion Week.
The Rodarte woman on the runway favored dolman sleeve wool-crepe tops with matching pencil skirts and tiered, chiffon “tea party” dresses, many of them with ruffles. Other tops had lace collars, and she also liked lace, high-neck blouses. Read More
