Her hair was a tad windswept and her clothes ever slightly askew, but it was a real lady wearing Rodarte on the catwalk Tuesday at New York Fashion Week.

If you want to know what fun on the runway looks like, Betsey Johnson’s line demonstrated every aspect of the word! The theme of her event was T&A, so the sheer clothing with neon and leopard printed bras underneath accentuated all the right parts. The fun looks continued with her dresses donning studs, sequins, lace, and ribbon all in true Betsey style. Neon colored shoes accompanied the outfits to keep the few black and white looks party worthy. Lace gloves, large necklaces, and one eye catching lightning bolt earring worn by all the models kept the accessories bold, yet subtle in comparison to the colors and textures of her outfits. Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2012 Collection made its wondrous debut at Lexington Avenue Armory where we were dazzled by the fairy-tale like setting.
Set amid the backdrop of a blue and white enchanted castle and stairwells, the models donned large, oversized furry hats and buckled shoes that looked like they had come from a completely different century. The show was dazzling as the music pulsed and lighting brought the scene to life in a dark fairy-tale manner. A trick that only a designer as great as Jacobs’ could pull off.
